Construction Manager – Airport Projects

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Construction Manager with airport expertise to support the Los Angeles World Airports terminal renovations and Capital Improvement Program. This position will act as the Owner’s Representative, ensuring project delivery aligns with design, schedule, and quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Review contractor resources, schedule progress, and generate progress reports.
• Monitor contractor compliance with design and construction requirements.
• Issue and track non‑conformance notices, ensuring timely resolution.
• Evaluate construction work plans, RFIs, submittals, force‑account tickets, extra‑work bills, and change‑order requests.
• Proactively anticipate scope changes and schedule slippage, keeping critical milestones on track.
• Recommend solutions to airport management for problem resolution.
• Ensure contractor adherence to labor‑relations policies and safety/quality standards.
• Prepare regular reports summarizing construction activity progress.

Required profile

• B.S./B.A. in engineering or equivalent construction‑related experience.
• 20+ years of diversified experience on large civil/structural or aviation transportation projects.
• Proven ability to serve as an Owner’s Representative with strong managerial capability.
• Extensive knowledge of construction processes, industry practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially for formal client presentations.
• Professional registration or certification such as P.E. or CCM preferred.
