Construction Laborer

About the role

The Laborer supports CVG’s field operations by assisting the Superintendent and project teams with site setup, material handling, demolition, cleanup, and general construction tasks. This on‑site, full‑time position ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards while offering opportunities to learn and grow in the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Follow and promote CVG’s safety program, wear required PPE, and report violations.
• Load, unload, and transport construction supplies and equipment.
• Perform site setup and cleanup, including demolition and proper waste disposal.
• Dig pits, trenches, and foundations, then back‑fill as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite by properly storing tools and materials.

Required profile

• Experience on construction sites and with hand/power tools is preferred.
• Current OSHA 10/30 certification and CPR/First Aid training are a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work nights or weekends when required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, climb ladders, and work in varied weather conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Operation of heavy machinery and construction vehicles.
• OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain).
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
