Construction Laborer – General Construction & Renovation

About the role

The Construction Laborer supports renovation, repair, rehabilitation, and property‑improvement projects for Ameribuild. Working on active job sites throughout Baltimore, the role involves general construction labor and multi‑trade assistance under the direction of a foreman.

Key responsibilities

• Perform selective demolition, debris removal, cleanup, hauling, sorting, and lawful disposal of materials.
• Assist with framing, drywall, trim, doors, cabinets, flooring, painting, caulking, weatherproofing, and punch‑list work.
• Support licensed plumbing, electrical, and HVAC professionals with material handling, staging, fixture placement, testing assistance, labeling, and cleanup.
• Measure, cut, drill, fasten, assemble, move, and install materials within the authorized skill level.
• Load and unload vehicles while maintaining accountability for tools, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites and protect occupied areas during construction activities.
• Follow project plans, written instructions, supervisor direction, safety procedures, permit requirements, applicable codes, and manufacturer specifications.
• Photograph work progress and complete required daily work records.
• Immediately report safety hazards, property damage, equipment concerns, and job‑site issues to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Perform general construction, renovation, repair, demolition, and property‑improvement tasks.
• Assist carpentry and properly licensed plumbing, electrical, and HVAC professionals.
• Safely use hand and power tools and construction materials.
• Maintain clean and safe job sites and follow all safety and project instructions.
• Document work progress and complete assigned tasks within demonstrated skill level and authorized scope.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common hand and power tools used in construction and renovation work.
• Working knowledge of multiple building trades, including carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC support.
