Concrete Finisher – Journeyman

About the role

MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher (Journeyman) to level and finish freshly poured concrete, grout, and related products on a variety of structures including floors, walls, ceilings, foundations, and sidewalks.

Key responsibilities

• Level and finish concrete, grout, and similar materials on multiple applications.
• Read and interpret measuring tools, project plans, blueprints, and drawing coordinates.
• Place, vibrate, and finish concrete in walls, slabs, footings, piers, etc.
• Repair and correct concrete as needed and install grout for steel and equipment.
• Operate hand and power tools such as power trowels, power vibrators, and saws.
• Inspect finished concrete work and monitor temperature effects.
• Apply hardening agents, sealants, curing compounds, and waterproofing treatments.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in fresh concrete.

Required profile

• Experience with concrete finishing techniques and ability to achieve specified finishes.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and measurement instructions.
• Understanding of safety and quality standards on construction sites.
