Compliance Technician – Product Safety Testing

About the role
You will join Philips’ product safety and compliance team, helping bring innovative Sleep & Respiratory Care technologies to patients worldwide. The position focuses on performing and documenting safety tests for medical devices in accordance with global standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform product safety testing to global standards such as IEC 60601‑1 and ISTA 3A.
- Set up and operate laboratory equipment including power analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, dielectric testers, multimeters, surge generators and environmental chambers.
- Conduct electrical, mechanical and environmental tests (leakage current, dielectric strength, temperature, pressure, stability, flammability, single‑fault).
- Document test procedures and results, preparing reports for review by the Compliance Engineer.
- Support certification audits and coordinate with external testing laboratories.
- Assist with equipment calibration, laboratory maintenance, SOP development and product compliance documentation.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in testing, verification, validation, product safety, compliance or certification in a regulated environment.
- Associate Technical Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Experience working with certification agencies and participating in audits or inspections.
- Strong written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate across engineering, regulatory and manufacturing teams.
- Independent problem‑solving, project‑management capability and proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint).
Required skills
- Power analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, dielectric testers, multimeters, surge generators, environmental chambers.
- Knowledge of IEC 60601‑1, ISTA 3A and other medical‑device safety standards.
- MS Office (Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.

- Hourly pay range $27 – $43.
