About the role
The Georgia Department of Community Health is seeking a Compliance Nurse 2 to support the Long‑Term Care Program in the Southeast region. This home‑based position involves conducting on‑site surveys of long‑term care facilities, documenting compliance, and traveling extensively across designated counties.
Key responsibilities
- Perform on‑site inspections of long‑term care facilities to assess compliance with state regulations.
- Document findings, prepare survey reports, and communicate results to facility administrators.
- Travel up to 90% of the time, including overnight stays, occasional weekends and after‑hours work.
- Apply a 15% geographic pay supplement for eligible counties.
- Collaborate with the Healthcare Facility Regulation Division to ensure consistent enforcement of standards.
Required profile
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) or a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Ability to work under general to limited supervision and manage extensive travel.
Required skills
- Knowledge of state healthcare facility regulations and long‑term care standards.
- Proficiency in conducting clinical surveys and writing detailed compliance reports.
