Compliance Issue Management Analyst/Manager

About the role

We are looking for a compliance professional to own end‑to‑end issue management for our card programs, partnering with FDIC‑ and OCC‑regulated issuing banks. The role can be an analyst or manager level, depending on experience, and involves driving issues from intake through remediation and validation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the compliance issue log: intake, classification, root‑cause analysis, target dates, status tracking and closure across all card programs and bank partners.
• Record each issue with factual details, regulatory touch‑points, impact timeline and affected customer count.
• Write corrective action plans that define the defect, fix, owner, deadline and evidence, and implement interim controls when needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Operations to implement fixes and verify they hold before closing an issue.
• Scope affected populations, design remediation, coordinate with Finance and Operations for execution, and confirm customers receive owed compensation.
• Produce monthly issue reports for each bank partner, respond to examination requests, and prepare reports for the Compliance Committee and Board.
• Improve tooling and workflow, automate repetitive tasks and turn recurring patterns into preventive controls.

Required profile

• Strong critical thinking: can work with incomplete information, draw defensible conclusions and clearly communicate uncertainties.
• Track record of taking a problem from detection through verification of a fix.
• Comfortable working with data and AI tools to validate numbers and outputs.
• Excellent written communication for clear corrective‑action narratives and regulator‑facing reports.
• Highly organized and self‑directed, able to manage dozens of open items with hard deadlines.
• Background in any relevant field (financial services, audit, consulting, analytics, law, etc.) with willingness to learn Regulations Z, E, B, UDAAP and FCRA.

Required skills

• SQL querying against a data warehouse.
