Community Supervision Officer (Level 1) – Hybrid

About the role

The Department of Community Supervision (DCS) is seeking a Community Supervision Officer (Level 1) to join its Cobb Circuit team. This hybrid position combines virtual work with in‑person duties, supporting individuals on parole and probation while promoting public safety across Cobb County.

Key responsibilities

• Wear a uniform, badge and department‑issued firearm while on duty.
• Manage a caseload: develop case plans, conduct community surveillance, enforce probation/parole conditions, and investigate violations.
• Provide referrals and link clients to community resources, making case recommendations as needed.
• Prepare, review and maintain case files, including background checks, DNA testing, drug testing, fingerprinting and photographic documentation.
