Community Supervision Officer I – Georgia

About the role

The Department of Community Supervision (DCS) of the State of Georgia is seeking a Community Supervision Officer I to join its hybrid workforce in Augusta. This position blends virtual and in‑person duties while supporting public safety and the successful reintegration of individuals on parole or probation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload by creating case plans, conducting community surveillance, and enforcing parole/probation conditions.
• Investigate violations, conduct background checks, DNA testing, drug testing, and fingerprinting.
• Provide referrals, link clients to community resources, and make case recommendations.
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation.

Required profile

• Willingness to wear a uniform, badge, and department‑issued firearm.
• Commitment to public safety and evidence‑based practices.
• Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of probation and parole supervision procedures.
