About the role

The Department of Community Supervision (DCS) of the State of Georgia is seeking a Community Supervision Officer 1 to join its team in Atlanta. This position blends law‑enforcement duties with community‑focused case management, offering a hybrid work environment that combines virtual and in‑person responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of individuals on parole or probation, creating and monitoring case plans.
• Conduct community surveillance, enforce supervision conditions, and investigate violations.
• Perform background checks, DNA testing, drug testing, fingerprinting, and photographic documentation.
• Link clients to community resources, make referrals, and provide recommendations for successful outcomes.
• Wear the official DCS uniform, badge, and carry a department‑issued firearm.

Required profile

• Willingness to serve in a law‑enforcement capacity and uphold public safety.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to a hybrid schedule that includes on‑site duties in the Atlanta circuit.
