Community Radiologist

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Community Radiologist to provide daytime coverage of outpatient and inpatient imaging across community hospitals, outpatient facilities, and urgent care centers in the New Orleans region. The position can be part‑time or full‑time and may include occasional weekend and late‑shift coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daytime coverage of outpatient and hospital inpatient examinations at community hospitals, outpatient facilities, and urgent care centers.
• Participate in after‑hours emergency department coverage coordinated by Ochsner Emergency Radiologists.
• Perform weekend coverage approximately one in eight weeks and a late shift (12 pm – 8 pm) once per month.
• Supervise residents during weekend and late‑shift assignments as needed.

Required profile

• MQSA qualification to read screening and diagnostic breast imaging, including digital breast tomosynthesis (preferred).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes daytime, weekend, and occasional late‑shift coverage.

Required skills

• Screening and diagnostic breast imaging expertise.
• Digital breast tomosynthesis proficiency.
• Experience using the EPIC electronic medical record platform.
