Community Outreach & Intervention Facilitator

About the role

The Community Outreach & Intervention Facilitator will support a five‑year NIH‑funded study aimed at improving sleep, stress recovery, social connection, and wellbeing among men in low‑resource neighborhoods of Philadelphia. This half‑time, hybrid position blends participant recruitment with delivery of a structured group‑based health intervention.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct community outreach and recruit participants through events, flyers, social media, and partnerships with local organizations.
• Screen, enroll, schedule, and follow up with participants, maintaining accurate tracking records.
• Facilitate or co‑facilitate group intervention sessions using the project curriculum, fostering a respectful and engaging environment.
• Document attendance, session fidelity, and participant contacts, and respond to participant concerns according to protocol.
• Maintain regular communication with participants to support retention and attend team meetings, trainings, and supervision.

Required profile

• Experience or strong interest in community outreach, participant recruitment, and group facilitation.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships with community partners and study participants.
• Commitment to research ethics, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
• Willingness to undergo training in recruitment, facilitation, and study procedures.
