Community Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized, people‑focused Community Operations Manager to own event operations and keep our growing community engaged between events. This part‑time, fully remote position starts with a single event and offers the chance to expand responsibilities and impact over time.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all event logistics including vendor management, guest check‑in, welcome team support, timelines and pre‑event readiness.
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution and troubleshoot issues on‑site.
• Manage community initiatives such as partnerships, activations and special projects.
• Engage the community online by responding to messages, fostering conversations and maintaining a sense of connection.
• Support social‑media strategy by maintaining the content calendar, coordinating with creatives and surfacing share‑worthy stories.
• Identify and pursue collaboration, sponsorship and new programming opportunities.
• Proactively propose ideas and help turn the best ones into executed projects.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and project‑management abilities.
• Natural ownership, follow‑through and excellent communication skills.
• Comfort managing multiple moving pieces simultaneously.
• Resourceful problem‑solver with good judgment and attention to detail.
• Understanding of social‑media and online community engagement.
• Passion for bringing people together and building meaningful experiences.
