Community Manager – San Jose

About the role

This role oversees the day‑to‑day operations of a stabilized mid‑rise apartment community in San Jose. You will lead the on‑site team, manage financial performance, ensure compliance with housing regulations, and drive resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor budgets, analyze financial statements, and achieve targeted revenue through rent setting and fee collection.
• Approve vendor invoices, manage petty cash, and ensure proper insurance documentation.
• Oversee lease enforcement, resident applications, renewals, inspections, evictions, and collection of late fees.
• Analyze market trends and implement leasing strategies to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
• Maintain resident satisfaction by responding to service requests, conducting property inspections, and ensuring maintenance standards.
• Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate property staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate or related field.
• 4‑6 years of relevant property management, sales, marketing, and customer service experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, Funnel, Entrata, OneSite).
• Experience with smart‑building technologies.
• Valid driver’s license for on‑site vehicle operation.
• Licenses/certifications required by state and local jurisdictions.
