Communications Specialist – Ring

About the role

Amazon is looking for a proactive Communications Specialist to lead messaging for Ring’s portfolio of smart‑home and AI‑driven security products. You will translate Ring’s safety mission into compelling stories that engage customers, media, creators and community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications strategies and multi‑channel campaigns for product launches, milestones and impact stories.
• Craft thought‑leadership content that positions Ring as a leader in community safety and consumer AI.
• Manage proactive momentum campaigns to keep Ring top‑of‑mind throughout the year.
• Build and maintain relationships with tech, consumer‑electronics, smart‑home and public‑safety media, including digital creators and influencers.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, public policy, community engagement and senior leadership teams.
• Support integrated communications plans aligned with business objectives and product road‑maps.
• Oversee agency partners and external communications resources as needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional communications or public‑relations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proven track record securing coverage in traditional and emerging media covering technology, business and consumer news.
• Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to turn complex technical information into news‑worthy narratives.
• Self‑starter who can work independently, meet deadlines and deliver measurable results.
