Communications Lead, Platform

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Communications Lead to own external communications for the Claude Platform, its API offering. You will shape how the platform’s product launches, capability releases, and developer‑focused news are presented to the broader market, working closely with product, engineering, marketing, and developer relations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end communications for the Claude Platform, including capability releases, product updates, and developer‑facing announcements.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, newsletter writers, and creators covering AI platforms, enterprise software, and the API economy.
• Prepare platform leaders for press, podcasts, panels, and other speaking opportunities.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to align external narratives with product positioning and feed customer feedback back to the teams.
• Coordinate messaging across press, social, owned, and community channels, selecting the right channel for each moment.

Required profile

• Experience in communications, PR, or product marketing, with a focus on platform, API, developer, or enterprise products.
• Understanding of developer culture and enterprise buying cycles, and ability to read timing and tone in AI conversations.
• Strong instinct for which product moments deserve spotlight and curiosity about successful launches.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with high agency, low ego, and a bias toward action.
