Commercial Fleet Service Technician

About the role

ALSO is seeking a Commercial Fleet Service Technician to manage the full service lifecycle of its electric bicycle fleet, from assembly to software updates, ensuring fleet readiness for commercial activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assembly, maintenance, repair, tear‑downs and component replacements on electric bicycles.
• Oversee the fleet service facility, manage parts inventory and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Develop and document SOPs for service and maintenance of the commercial fleet.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, including CAN‑bus diagnostics and ECU flashing.
• Prepare vehicles for shipment, receive and assemble incoming units, and operate vehicles for validation rides.
• Provide technical support to field teams, both remotely and on‑site at events.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive, EV or related fields preferred.
• 5+ years hands‑on experience with bicycles, e‑bikes or EV/automotive maintenance.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, lift equipment and work safely in a shop environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support field events.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with CAN‑bus diagnostics and fault‑code troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electronic control units (ECUs), flashing procedures and related software tools.
