Commercial Diver

About the role

Crofton is seeking a Commercial Diver to perform underwater construction, inspection, and salvage tasks as part of its marine operations. The role involves working on diverse projects where safety, precision, and teamwork are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Perform underwater construction, repair, and installation using surface‑supplied air gear and a variety of power and hand tools.
• Conduct non‑destructive testing, CCTV inspections, photography, and video recording of underwater structures.
• Rig and recover sunken objects, operate winches or derricks, and assist in salvage operations.
• Inspect and test docks, ships, buoyage systems, pipelines, cables, and sewers.
• Maintain and repair diving equipment, small machines, and shop tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of commercial diving experience and a Commercial Dive School diploma with four dive logs.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification and a valid TWIC or ADCI card (preferred).
• Rigger certification and ability to pass a Homeland Security background check.
• Physically able to lift up to 40 lb, work in zero visibility, and operate at depths or heights up to 100 ft.
