About the role
This position supports the Community Relations & Special Events department at Texas A&M International University by providing front‑line information services and assisting with event‑related tasks. It is a campus‑based work‑study role designed for enrolled students seeking practical experience.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Community Relations & Special Events department with general information services at the Student Center information desk.
- Handle routine office inquiries from employees and students.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing.
- Support day‑to‑day maintenance of the department and set up meeting/event rooms.
- Participate in special projects and events as assigned.
Required profile
- Enrolled at Texas A&M International University at least half‑time (6 credit hours undergraduate or 3 credit hours graduate).
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate).
- Current, complete file with the Office of Financial Aid and demonstrated financial need (FAFSA).
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, eligible non‑citizen, or holder of an alien registration number.
- Ability to meet the university’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly wage of $8.00 for up to 19 hours per week.
