Collections Specialist – Local Accounts

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Collections Specialist for its Wilmington, OH service center. The role focuses on managing local customer accounts, monitoring overdue shipping invoices, and ensuring timely payment recovery. This full‑time position offers a supportive environment with a clear career path in the transportation industry.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an inventory of local accounts and track unpaid invoices.
• Contact delinquent customers by phone and email to secure late payments.
• Review invoice disputes and forward them to the appropriate department for resolution.
• Perform daily tasks using Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Meet weekly and monthly collection targets while adhering to company policies.

Required profile

• Professional, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
