CNC Table Cutter

About the role

This role involves reading engineered drawings, loading CNC programs into waterjet, plasma, or laser cutting machines, and inspecting finished parts with precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet tight tolerances and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan work from traveler prints and oral instructions, select tools and materials, and set up machines for efficient operation.
• Develop and load CNC programs, choose the appropriate cutting method (waterjet, plasma, laser), and adjust speeds based on plate thickness.
• Monitor machine operation, verify settings, detect malfunctions, and make adjustments using precision measuring devices.
• Perform first‑piece inspection and continue until parts meet specifications, while maintaining accurate daily inspection records.
• Load and unload plates using cranes, dollies, and carts, work with material handlers, and keep the work area and equipment clean.

Required profile

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• General computer skills with experience in AutoCAD and CNC software.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, thread and plug gauges.
• Willingness to obtain forklift and overhead crane certifications.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and follow safety procedures.
