CNC Programmer

About the role

This hands‑on, high‑impact position is for an experienced CNC Programmer who will turn complex aerospace designs into precision hardware. You will own advanced multi‑axis machining work, partner closely with engineering, and help raise shop standards in quality, safety, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Program and support high‑precision, quick‑turn projects and small‑batch production runs.
• Plan, program, set up and run 3‑, 4‑ and 5‑axis CNC machines from blueprints, models and verbal instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists and designers to improve efficiency and quality.
• Provide feedback to engineering and incorporate customer input to enhance part quality.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, tooling decisions and shop standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of CNC programming experience with hands‑on setup of 5‑axis mills or lathes.
• Proficiency with Fanuc, HAAS and Okuma controls.
• Experience using CATIA (DELMIA); Mastercam a plus.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot G‑code and interpret GD&T and blueprints.
• Skilled with metrology tools such as dial indicators, bore gauges, micrometers and calipers.
• Strong knowledge of cutting‑tool selection, speed and feed across material groups.
• Excellent communication, coordination and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic prototype/R&D environment and lift up to 50 lb.
