Clinical/Medical Lab Scientist – Monroe Lab

About the role

This position involves receiving and preparing specimens, performing laboratory tests and calculations, and providing critical data for diagnosis and treatment in a patient‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and prepare specimens, perform laboratory tests and calculations to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Conduct quality control, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and document corrective actions.
• Adhere to regulatory compliance, accreditation standards and safety guidelines.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and manage supply and reagent inventory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science or a related scientific field.
• Current Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist license (or trainee/assistant permit) and ASCP/AMT/AAB certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Effective verbal and written communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows‑based computer applications and data entry.
• Phlebotomy procedures and specimen handling.
• Laboratory testing, quality control and instrument troubleshooting.
