Clinical Research Associate

About the role

The Clinical Research Associate will support infectious disease clinical trials, including complex COVID‑19 studies, under the supervision of Dr. Princy Kumar at Georgetown University. The role involves direct interaction with trial participants, ensuring high‑quality clinical care and strict adherence to study protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical and research services to subjects enrolled in infectious disease studies.
• Manage and coordinate complex COVID‑19 trials according to established protocols.
• Monitor, screen, and administer investigational therapies to participants.
• Maintain accurate study documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Partner with clinical staff to meet documentation and data requirements.
• Interact with the Clinical Trial Office, Pharmacy, CRC, financial administrators, and regulatory specialists.
• Communicate effectively with trial subjects and internal support teams.
• Identify process improvements and participate in cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Strong clinical background with the ability to make decisions in unique clinical situations.
• Calm under emergency conditions and able to handle multiple demands.
• Excellent communication skills and sensitivity to confidential information.
