Clinical Pharmacy Manager – Acute Care

About the role

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will support the Director of Pharmacy in overseeing clinical pharmacy services for acute and critical care patients at Kingman Regional Medical Center. This full‑time, exempt position leads a team of pharmacists and technical staff while serving as a drug‑information resource for clinicians.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for clinical pharmacy operations in acute and critical care settings.
• Mentor and develop pharmacists and technical staff to promote clinical excellence.
• Serve as a drug‑information resource for medical, nursing, and ancillary staff.
• Participate in hospital committees, performance‑improvement initiatives, and departmental education programs.
• Manage clinical schedules, budgets, and staff competencies.
• Contribute to formulary management, pharmacoeconomic reviews, and P&T Committee activities.
• Support pharmacy residency, student training programs, and care‑transition services.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote safe, cost‑effective medication use.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE‑accredited school.
• Arizona pharmacy licensure (or eligibility) and BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum five years of hospital pharmacy experience in acute or critical care.
• Prior leadership experience; residency (PGY‑1/PGY‑2) and board certification (BCPS, BCCCP) are preferred.
• Ability to evaluate scientific literature, manage emergencies, and communicate effectively.
