Clinical Pharmacist (Hybrid) – Houston, TX

About the role

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join its pharmacy team in Houston. In this hybrid role you will conduct live telephonic outreach to Medicare members, aiming to improve medication adherence and overall health outcomes. You will collaborate closely with providers, pharmacies, and internal stakeholders to optimize therapy and support the organization’s quality initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform telephonic outreach to members to improve medication adherence and appropriate drug utilization.
• Engage providers and pharmacies via phone to optimize pharmacy therapy.
• Lead pharmacy projects from inception through completion.
• Respond to drug information requests and interpret customer needs.
• Identify solutions for non‑standard requests and provide coaching or feedback to colleagues.
• Document and track member engagement, focusing on STAR measures and survey detractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (Pharm D preferred).
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of residence.
• 3+ years experience as a licensed pharmacist, including patient consultation.
• Beginner‑level proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows‑based environments.
