About the role
Ochsner Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead the OLGMC Emergency department on the evening shift (3 PM‑11 PM) in Lafayette, Louisiana. This full‑time, on‑site position combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high‑quality outcomes and staff development.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and improve quality of care and patient satisfaction through unit‑specific systems.
- Manage operational profitability by monitoring budgets, performance data, and inventory.
- Provide direct nursing care using the nursing process and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Lead, develop, retain, and inspire an engaged nursing workforce.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.
Required profile
- Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor of Science preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of healthcare experience, including at least 2 years in supervision or management.
- Current RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.
