Clinic Receptionist – Pediatrics (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Clinic Receptionist greets patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while managing front‑desk operations for a busy pediatric practice. This full‑time position supports smooth patient flow, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and payment collection.

Key responsibilities

• Check‑in patients, verify demographics and insurance, and collect co‑pays or outstanding balances.
• Answer and route phone calls, schedule appointments according to clinic guidelines, and manage patient communications.
• Enter and update information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including scanning and attaching ID, referrals, and insurance cards.
• Maintain compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements throughout the admitting process.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, uphold confidentiality, and embody the organization’s mission and values.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within three months of hire).
• Mandatory Reporter abuse‑training completion within three months of hire.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, shared‑leadership environment while maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Effective phone etiquette and appointment‑scheduling capabilities.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and document scanning.
