Client Support Worker – Community Integration Home

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a dedicated Client Support Worker to join the Community Integration Home (CIH) in Macon. This full‑time, on‑site position provides essential daily living assistance, skill development, and supportive services to residents, helping them achieve greater independence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
• Observe, monitor, and document resident behavior, incidents, and progress.
• Deliver training in basic personal, social, academic, and work skills through one‑on‑one or group instruction.
• Coordinate medical appointments, arrange needed services, and support case management activities.
• Provide transportation using state‑owned vehicles for appointments and community activities.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review resident needs and update service plans.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in residential or community support preferred.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays.
• Strong observational and record‑keeping skills.
• Clear communication and counseling abilities to guide residents in daily decision‑making.

• Basic caregiving and personal support techniques.
• Meal planning and preparation, including special‑diet considerations.
• Housekeeping and basic household management.
• Safe operation of a vehicle for resident transportation.
