Civil Engineer – Sustainable Community Development

About the role

Sanctuary is building a nature‑led, wellness‑centered residential community in the Texas Hill Country. As the in‑house Civil Engineer you will translate the visionary architecture into buildable, sustainable infrastructure that respects the land.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑site grading, drainage, roadway layout, and retaining wall design for the entire community.
• Prepare and submit permit‑ready civil drawing sets to TCEQ, Hays County, and the City of Dripping Springs, managing the end‑to‑end permitting process.
• Collaborate daily with architects, designers, MEP teams, and construction crews to ensure buildability and compliance with Texas codes.
• Translate geotechnical and survey data into actionable plans, develop stormwater models, and optimize cut‑fill strategies.
• Establish Sanctuary’s civil engineering standards, templates, and workflows for future communities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred but not required).
• 6–10 years of experience in site/civil design, grading, or land development, preferably on residential or master‑planned projects.

Required skills

• Grading design and stormwater management.
• Drainage modeling and cut‑fill optimization.
• Road layout and utility corridor design.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD Civil 3D (or equivalent tools).
