Civil Engineer (EIT) – Infrastructure Design

About the role

PND Engineers is looking for a motivated Civil Engineer (EIT) to join its Kennewick office. You will work on a variety of civil and heavy‑civil infrastructure projects, from waterfront facilities to road and utility systems, across the Pacific Northwest.

Key responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering analysis and design for site development, grading, drainage, stormwater, water and utility infrastructure, roads, and marine facilities.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, calculations, technical memoranda and reports.
• Develop design documents from conceptual stages through final construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, coastal and environmental engineers.
• Participate in field investigations, site assessments, inspections and construction observations.
• Support construction administration by reviewing submittals, RFIs and contractor queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and EIT certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
• Interest or experience in civil site design, grading, drainage, utilities, transportation, waterfront or heavy‑civil projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
