Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor (After Hours)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a dedicated professional to supervise a social services unit that provides investigative and comprehensive case management for child abuse or neglect during after‑hours. Reporting to the Child Welfare Administrator, you will lead a team of case managers, ensure timely actions for at‑risk children, and uphold the agency’s mission to protect vulnerable families.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and plan the work of assigned case management staff.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert and resource for the unit.
• Collect evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Conduct home‑visit evaluations and coordinate out‑of‑home placements.
• Monitor and track client activities, services, and outcomes.
• Develop and implement case plans that leverage community resources.
• Ensure timely follow‑up actions for at‑risk clients.

Required profile

• Experience supervising social services or child welfare staff.
• Strong knowledge of child abuse/neglect investigation procedures.
• Ability to interpret and apply state and federal regulations.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
