Child Welfare Services Case Manager – CRRU

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family and Children Services is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager 1 for the Caregiver Recruitment and Retention Unit (CRRU). The position will serve DFCS Region 2 and may be located in any county within the region based on space availability and the candidate’s residence.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and host recruitment activities in line with the regional recruitment plan, including general, targeted, and child‑specific initiatives.
• Utilize regional removal trends, child demographics, and other data to develop recruitment strategies.
• Recruit prospective caregivers through direct and indirect marketing and facilitate quarterly IMPACT training.
• Track caregivers through the onboarding process to ensure timely approval, aiming for at least 90% approval within four months of applicant status.
• Submit ICPC assessment requests that meet safety and quality standards within policy time frames.
• Conduct required monthly and quarterly contacts, documenting them in the Georgia SHINES system.

Required profile

• Ability to work in DFCS Region 2 and reside in one of its counties.
• Commitment to meeting recruitment targets and adhering to policy guidelines.
• Willingness to travel within the region as needed for recruitment and training activities.
