Child Development Center Teacher (Full‑Time)

About the role

Join the State of Georgia and work at the Child Development Center of Southeastern Technical Institute in Swainsboro. Under the supervision of the director, assistant director, and lead teacher, you will support classroom activities and assist with child observations and physical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Teach in an assigned classroom or float between classrooms.
• Plan, prepare, and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children.
• Assist with observations and evaluations of individual children.
• Help meet the physical needs of children attending the CDC.
• Perform other duties and training as assigned.
• Work Monday through Friday on a full‑time schedule.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (temporary hire with expectation to enroll in an Early Childhood Care and Education program).
• Successful criminal background check, fingerprint check, and drug screen.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Current CPR certification (biennial) and additional required training.
• Preferred: Associate degree, technical certificate, or current enrollment in Early Childhood Care and Education.
• Preferred: Prior experience working with young children.
