The role focuses on implementing standards, curricula, CLASS, and TS GOLD across child‑care centers, especially those with higher enrollment in the Child Care Assistance Program.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide on‑site technical assistance and practice‑based coaching to child‑care centers, prioritizing low‑performing sites with high CCAP enrollment.
  • Collaborate with Early Childhood Community Network leads and attend network meetings as assigned.
  • Assist Type III programs in full implementation of CLASS, TS GOLD, Tier 1 Child Care Curriculum, and Louisiana Birth‑to‑Five Early Learning Standards.
  • Develop action plans with educators, conduct follow‑up assessments, and document visits and monthly activity reports.
  • Deliver a minimum number of group trainings on early‑childhood topics, develop new training modules, and maintain Pathways trainer certification and CLASS reliability.
  • Promote participation in trainings, respond to community inquiries about quality child care, and maintain data systems such as NDS by WLS.

Required profile

  • Commitment to core values: integrity, collaboration, excellence, knowledge, and accountability.
  • Full‑time, non‑exempt employee status.
  • Current knowledge of child‑care licensing regulations, health and sanitation standards, fire marshal regulations, and related state programs (CCAP, TOTS, SRTC, CACFP).
  • Ability to develop and track action steps toward program goals and to produce clear documentation.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with CLASS assessment tools (Infant, Toddler, Pre‑K).
  • Experience using TS GOLD assessment system.
  • Familiarity with Tier 1 Child Care Curriculum and Louisiana Birth‑to‑Five Early Learning Standards.
  • Knowledge of CCAP, TOTS, SRTC, and Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations.
  • Pathways certified trainer status and ability to maintain CLASS reliability.
  • Data entry and reporting in NDS by WLS.
