Child Care Consultant – North East Region

About the role

The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning is seeking a CCS Child Care Consultant to serve the North East Region. This field‑based position supports child‑care providers across eleven counties, ensuring compliance with state licensing and quality standards while promoting high‑quality early education.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor compliance with Georgia child‑care licensing rules and quality indicators.
• Provide technical assistance and professional consultation to licensed facilities and applicants.
• Travel throughout Catoosa, Dawson, Fannin, Gilmer, Lumpkin, Murray, Rabun, Towns, Union, White, and Whitfield counties.
• Maintain reliable attendance and meet scheduled appointment and reporting deadlines.
• Use a personal vehicle for job‑related travel.

Required profile

• Relevant education and experience in early childhood education, child‑care administration, or a related field.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Reliable attendance and strong organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
