Chemo Care/Infusion Advanced Practice Provider (Hybrid)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking an advanced practice provider (NP, PA, or CNS) to deliver chemotherapy and infusion services in a hybrid setting. The role collaborates with physicians, residents, nurses, and discharge coordinators to manage outpatient oncology patients, provide emergency stabilization, and support education of trainees.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using approved medical practice processes, including assessment, treatment planning, and emergency stabilization.
• Provide education to patients, families, staff, and the community about oncology therapies and safety.
• Adapt communication and care approaches to diverse patient populations while maintaining privacy and consent standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing for NP or Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies for PA, with current state licensure.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification and eligibility for prescriptive authority.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible schedules, including on‑call, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Computer data entry and proficiency with Windows‑based applications.
