About the role

The Certified Surgical Technician works in the operating room, assisting physicians during procedures and ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready and properly maintained. This role requires strict adherence to sterile techniques, proper handling of instruments, and close collaboration with the nursing team.

Key responsibilities

  • Performs direct patient care duties, including assisting physicians during surgical procedures.
  • Assists in the day‑to‑day operations of the department.
  • Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, equipment, training, and credentials.
  • Ensures cleanliness and disinfection of endoscopes while maintaining quality‑control measures.
  • Adapts to change in a positive, constructive manner.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Required profile

  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good time‑management skills and ability to be self‑directed.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement.

Required skills

  • Surgical Technology certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
