Certified Snowsports Instructor

About the role

Discovery Land Company is seeking a Certified Ski or Snowboard Instructor to join the Snowsports Department at Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. You will create unforgettable experiences for guests of all ages, delivering world‑class instruction in a safe, engaging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional, engaging snowsports instruction tailored to individual guest needs and skill levels.
• Assess guest progress and deliver clear, constructive feedback with actionable next steps.
• Model and promote safe skiing and riding practices, including lift usage and mountain condition awareness.
• Serve as a resort ambassador by delivering exceptional guest service and fostering a welcoming atmosphere on and off the snow.
• Assist with group organization, class assignments, and lesson scheduling as needed.

Required profile

• Familiarity with PSIA/AASI or equivalent instructional methodologies and knowledge of local mountain terrain.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, including experience working with children.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and ability to meet physical demands of the role.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, professional demeanor.
