Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Lafayette, LA

This position administers anesthesia to patients during surgical, obstetrical and other pain‑producing procedures under physician supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Document patient procedures and incidents.
• Assess patients before, during, and after administering anesthesia.
• Ensure patient safety and administer anesthesia following accepted practice techniques.
• Act as a liaison to surgeons, anesthesiologists, co‑workers, patients, and families.
• Participate in department quality‑assurance initiatives and professional‑development activities.
• Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and communication preferences.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from an AANA‑accredited nurse‑anesthesia program.
• License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice.
• Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 24/7, weekends, holidays and on‑call availability.

Required skills

• Computer data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and keyboard use.
