About the role

The Certified Procedural Coding Specialist provides essential clinical support by accurately coding hospital procedures and applying claim edit rules. This permanent, onsite position is part of the FIN | CORE Coding – Hospital Claim Edits department at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Perform procedural coding for inpatient and outpatient hospital claims.
• Apply and verify claim edit rules to ensure compliance with payer requirements.
• Maintain coding accuracy and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve coding discrepancies.

Required profile

• Certified Procedural Coding Specialist credential.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work within a clinical support environment.
