Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) – Hospice Days

Key responsibilities

• Attend to the daily living and safety needs of assigned patients, providing age‑appropriate care.
• Assist registered nursing personnel with patient care activities and related non‑professional services.
• Obtain and record vital signs, heights, and weights.
• Ensure patients’ personal hygiene, comfort, and availability of necessary supplies.
• Maintain a safe, tidy environment and follow infection‑control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients using appropriate therapies.
• Report changes in patient condition, out‑of‑range values, or concerns to the nurse or supervisor.
• Apply AIDET and evidence‑based behaviors; document procedures accurately and timely.
• Maintain patient and staff confidentiality.
• Provide care for an average of 5‑6 patients per day.

Required profile

• Age 21 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AZ DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (or obtain within 20 days of hire).
• Arizona Food Handlers Card.
• Current, valid AZ driver’s license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• For CNA candidates: valid Arizona CNA license.
• For LNA candidates: valid Arizona LNA license (or plan to obtain).
