CDL‑B Local Truck Driver – Oakland

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking reliable CDL‑B drivers for its Oakland, CA service center. As a City Pickup & Delivery (P&D) driver you will complete multiple stops each day, delivering and picking up freight while returning to the terminal daily.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city deliveries and pickups of freight on a scheduled route.
• Operate scan equipment to track shipments.
• Interact directly with customers, providing excellent service.
• Handle lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack or dolly when required.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and adhere to safety protocols.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stoop without difficulty.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer‑service focus.
• Experience delivering in urban environments is preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of scan equipment.
• Use of electric pallet jack and lift‑gate equipment.
