CDL‑B City Pickup & Delivery Driver – $29.02/hr

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking reliable CDL‑B drivers for city pickup and delivery operations at its Knoxville service center. This full‑time, first‑shift position offers a steady schedule (Monday‑Friday) and the opportunity to return home each night.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city‑wide delivery and pickup of freight, returning to the terminal daily.
• Make multiple stops per day while using handheld scanning equipment to track shipments.
• Interact directly with customers to ensure accurate and courteous service.
• Complete lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack or dolly as needed.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record (MVR).
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and solve problems on the road.
• Physical capability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.

Required skills

• Operation of electric pallet jack equipment.
• Use of handheld scanning devices for shipment tracking.
• Experience with lift‑gate or dolly loading procedures.
