CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery Driver – $39.32/hr

About the role

RLC is seeking CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery (P&D) drivers for its San Jose service center. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $39.32, full‑time weekday shifts, and the guarantee that drivers return home each night.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city‑wide delivery and pickup of freight, returning to the terminal daily.
• Make multiple stops per shift while using scanning equipment to track loads.
• Interact directly with customers to ensure accurate service.
• Complete lift‑gate deliveries when required, operating an electric pallet jack.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least one year of combined verifiable experience within the past three years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, no more than three moving violations in the past three years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA transition criteria).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and a road test.
• Physical capability to bend, lift, and stoop safely.
• Dependable and able to operate equipment safely at all times.

Required skills

• Electric pallet jack operation.
• Scanning equipment proficiency.
• Experience with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz‑mat endorsements (preferred).
• LTL (Less‑Than‑Truckload) handling experience.
