CDL-A Local Truck Driver

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery (P&D) driver for its Oxford, MA service center. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday with various shifts, and offers a starting pay of $37.94 per hour. Drivers return to the terminal each day and enjoy a home‑every‑day schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city delivery and pickup of freight, returning to the terminal daily.
• Make multiple stops per workday, using scanning equipment to track shipments.
• Interact directly with customers and handle lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least one year of recent combined driving experience.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, no more than three moving violations in the past three years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if FMCSA transition criteria are met).
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop safely.
• Dependable and able to operate equipment safely at all times.
