CBRN Technician

About the role

Parsons is seeking a talented CBRN Technician to support federal CBRN detection operations. The role involves coordinating with stakeholders, managing equipment, and ensuring compliance with program standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct CBRN detection operations, coordinate logistics, and develop operational plans.
• Train stakeholders on equipment protocols and produce situational and after‑action reports.
• Maintain regional documentation, both electronic and paper, following file standards.
• Manage equipment, tactics, techniques, and procedures, completing required training and refresher courses.
• Support fleet management by documenting and filing vehicle information per MDDP, CWMD, and DHS policies.
• Present program capabilities to diverse stakeholder groups and answer policy, procedure, and equipment questions.

Required profile

• Active Secret security clearance (or higher) and ability to obtain DHS suitability.
• Valid driver’s license with experience towing larger trailers; Class B CDL license or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb of equipment and travel up to 75 % of the month across the contiguous United States and territories.

Required skills

• CBRN detection and training experience (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear).
• Operation of Mobile/Portable Radiation Detection Systems and Personal Radiation Detectors (PRD).
• Use of Spectroscopic/Non‑Spectroscopic devices and Radiological Isotope Identification Devices (RIID).
• Proficiency with radios, radioactive material sources, and related auxiliary equipment.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and A/V equipment.
