CBRN Lead – Site Manager for Detection Operations

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced CBRN Lead to manage on‑site detection operations in Portland, Oregon. The role combines site management, stakeholder coordination, equipment oversight, and reporting for federal CBRN missions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as site manager, coordinating CBRN detection operations with federal staff and stakeholders.
• Plan logistics, develop operational plans, and train stakeholders on equipment protocols.
• Maintain documentation, electronic and paper files, and ensure compliance with MDDP, CWMD, and DHS policies.
• Provide daily situation reports (SITREPs) and after‑action reports (AAR) for each deployment.
• Support fleet management by tracking vehicle information and adhering to relevant regulations.
• Present program capabilities to diverse audiences and conduct training on policies, procedures, and equipment.

Required profile

• Active Secret security clearance (or higher) and ability to obtain DHS suitability.
• Minimum 10 years experience in radiological and nuclear detection and training, with at least 7 years hands‑on equipment use.
• Experience in special‑event operations such as SEAR or NSSE events.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb of equipment and travel up to 75 % of the month.
• Valid driver’s license; Class B CDL or ability to obtain within three months.

Required skills

• Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear detection expertise.
• Use of Mobile/Portable Radiation Detection Systems and Personal Radiation Detectors (PRD).
• Operation of spectroscopic and non‑spectroscopic devices, Radiological Isotope Identification Device (RIID), FTIR and Raman technologies.
• NIMS and Incident Command System (ICS) certifications, radiation fundamental training, and primary/secondary screener certifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer/A‑V equipment.
