Catering Sales Manager

About the role

The Catering Sales Manager drives beverage‑catering revenue from the first client inquiry through post‑event follow‑up. Based in San Diego, the role blends new‑business development with hands‑on event execution to ensure each occasion matches the client’s vision.

Key responsibilities

• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets while maintaining accurate CRM reporting.
• Generate and qualify new leads, create custom proposals, and close event contracts.
• Build and nurture relationships with venues, vendors and industry partners to keep Snake Oil top‑of‑mind.
• Coordinate event logistics with Operations, ensuring staffing, equipment and service standards are met.
• Manage deposits, collect payments and maintain diligent accounts‑receivable processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of direct catering/event sales experience (3 + years preferred).
• Strong track record of closing event contracts and managing a quota‑based pipeline.
• Existing relationships and market knowledge in the San Diego event industry are a plus.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to commute reliably to San Diego, CA 92101.

What we offer

• Salary $70,304 – $74,000 per year, plus commission and bonus eligibility.
