Cashier - The Pavilion at Montage Mountain

About the role

A Cashier is needed at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain, an attraction within the Six Flags Great Adventure theme park in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The role covers timely, efficient and accurate cash and credit card transactions and reporting, as well as setting up, maintaining and cleaning the workstation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare simple menu items.
• Sell items, collect payment and make correct change.
• Enter all sales into the cash register so purchases are accurately recorded.
• Verify ID on customers ordering alcohol.
• Provide quick, efficient, accurate and friendly service to all guests.
• Suggestively sell and up-sell items.
• Maintain a clean, neat and safe work area.
• Perform closing duties including clean up, product storage and trash removal.
• Interact with co-workers to ensure compliance with service standards, inventory and cash control procedures.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old.
• Fluent English.
• Ability to work all events, including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in an open-air environment in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, up and down stairs or ramps.
• Sufficient mobility for constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing and pulling.
• Meets state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcoholic beverage services.

Required skills

• Arithmetic with U.S. currency (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• Ability to interact with co-workers to uphold service standards.
